Born on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean and raised in border territory, with a
background in classical music and traditional percussion, Vigo-born Acacia
Ojea graduated in Fine Arts, where she focused on the sonic arts to later
broaden her studies in electroacoustics and digital audio synthesis.
Currently working between sound design and multimedia creation, she is
a music programmer and conducts workshops on sound practices while
researching within the field of sound studies.
Her acousmatic work has been selected for spaces such as the radio of the
Centro de Arte Sonoro de Buenos Aires in Argentina (2021) or commissioned
by international brands such as Desigual for their fashion show in
collaboration with Nathy Peluso (2023). It has also been invited to perform
sound interventions in artistic contexts such as the Contemporary Art Fair Art
Madrid (2021), the music and digital art programme MMMAD Dome (2022),
the Centre d’Arts Santa Mònica in Barcelona (2024) or the Centro de Cultura
Contemporánea Condeduque in Madrid (2024).
